50 mph
Speed Limit

Site facts and figures
There are four speed cameras monitoring both directions at various locations on the A1 Trunk Road at Elkesley. Although the majority of this road from London to Edinburgh is at the National Speed Limit, this section in Nottinghamshire is subject to a local speed limit order of 50mph.

This is NOT a temporary roadworks-speed-restriction and the 50mph section has been established for over 10 years. The sole reason for this lower speed limit is because of the hazardous junctions providing the only access to and from the village of Elkesley on to, and across, the busy A1.
